| Note | Installation and Handling with Care
Leaving natural oils or grease from your fingers on a halogen lamp or quartz bulb can create hot spots on the glass, leading to premature failure or, in extreme cases, causing the bulb to shatter or explode during operation.
- Use Protection: Handle the bulb with a clean cloth, paper towel, or while wearing latex or nitrile gloves.
- Grip the Base: Hold the bulb only by its porcelain, metal, or plastic base. Avoid touching the glass surface.
- If You Accidentally Touch the Glass: Clean the bulb with a lint-free cloth lightly moistened with rubbing alcohol (isopropyl alcohol). Allow it to dry completely before switching the lamp on.
